How We Are Different From State And National Associations
The Greater Cincinnati Insurance Board offers programs
that generally do not duplicate programs and services offered by state
and national associations. We focus on those programs and services that
can be better provided at the local level than at the state or national
level. We work with state and national associations to promote our members
and the insurance industry in Greater Cincinnati area. Listed below is
a review of products and services we offer and how they differ from other
organizations.
Education
PrelicensingCIB - offers regular monthly classes for P/C and L/H. (Click here for Info)Continuing education Other associations - only offer CE courses occasionally in this area.Continuing education, In houseCIB - offers courses at a very reasonable price for members. Other associations - offer courses but require minimum attendenance.Securities Courses Employment ServicesCIB offers Series 6, 63 and financial continuing education courses. (Click here for Info) CIB - has a resume exchange program. Members can post job listings and individuals can post their resumes on our website. (Click here for Info) Other associations not offered.Grassroots Legislative network CIB - Although we rely on state associations for state legislative support. Community Relations
CIB regularly work with the media in the Cincinnati area. Consumers frequently call the office with insurance questions. We give them direction on insurance issues.Compensation Survey CIB - conducts an annual compensation survey.Members Bulletins, Alerts and News CIB - uses the Internet to disseminate timely information that is of interest to the insurance community. (i.e. news clip service, newsletters, CIB alerts) Website cib-online.com CIB promotes agency, company and subscriber members; provides information for the consumer; provides product and service information; provides management and legislative information; provides employment information and opportunities; and other resource information.Worker Compensation Program CIB partners with the PIA of Ohio in their group workers compensation program. This program is available for members and the clients of member and can save an organization up 95% on their workers compensation premium. The PIA pays the agency an override on all business written in this program.
